Yngwie is setting those frets on fire! I guess he melted quite a few by playing those incredible leads! So, if you’re up for an arpeggio overdose, Eclipseis the perfect album for you! It mixes hard rock, neo-classical and even some influences. These guys have always been at the forefront of Canadian thrash metal. 55 bands and 55 albums that sound as fresh as they did 30 years ago. This is by far the longest list I ever did. And the grunge slowly started to become a “they took ur jobs, DURKU DURRR“ kind of thing. Thrash metal was at its peak, while death metal was growing stronger day by day. The year 1990 is as important as the period between 1986-1989, which I would collectively call the golden years of heavy metal. So many bands released their best albums and so many had their debuts released. If there was a single golden year in heavy metal, that would be 1990! And I only became aware of this after I started making the list.
